This one's going to be a short post for a change.
A few days ago a customer came to me saying that she had accidentally wiped out all of her family᾿s vacation pictures from their digital camera᾿s memory card. I asked if she had taken any pictures since the inadvertent wipe, and she said “no.” So I told her to bring it in, and I᾿d see what I could do.
After a little searching, I found two great (and free) programs to recover the pictures: Art Plus Digital Photo Recovery and the generically named Data Recovery. In the end, I used the Photo Recovery program which very easily recovered all pictures from the card. It couldn᾿t be simpler.
Footnote: Both are Windows programs. Anyone know any comparable Mac programs?
